I am on my 2nd pair of these garden gloves and considering the amount of time I use them, they are holding up pretty good! I just ordered another pair to replace the ones I am currently using (when they finally wear out). Other reviewers have commented on the lack of protection or the wearing thru of the fingers so let me add to that. First, any gardening glove I have ever used will not give you "full" protection from thorns. With that said, I haven't had any real issues when pruining my boysenberry bushes nor rose bushes (yes, occasionally a thorn gets through but that happens with all gardening gloves). Second, if you're using these gloves a lot (like I am), the fore finger and thumb will wear through eventually on your dominant hand but that happens with all gardening gloves. The plus to these gloves is the length (which goes up to your elbow) and the "knuckle guard" which is soft flexible plastic, giving you that added protection when reaching into a thorny bush. I would buy these gloves again. BTW, I occasionally wear plastic disposable latex gloves inside of these gloves, on the days that I want to keep my nails extra clean (just a friendly tip). There is a cord to close up the opening of the glove, which I have never used.
